Making the pump part of the fountain visible, with robots!
On most fountains, you’re only seeing the “downhill” portion, while “uphill” portion with the pump is hidden from view. Both portions comprise a whole that water circulates within.
I built the Inside-out fountain to flip the script. It brings the “uphill” portion of the water’s flow front-and-center. Mobile robots, programmed with Arduino, cart the water up ramps, then dump the water out at the apogee.
