Magnetic building blocks

modBlocks are styrofoam cube-shaped buidling backs embedded with neodynium magnets on each face. They click together with a satisfying snap, and their high strength-to-weight ratio enables building big. I took them to Mini Maker Faire where kids of all ages had a blast playing with them!

Each cube was hand assembled by myself. I also explored mass-production and injection molding but I couldn’t get the economics to work out.
